The term ‘Surveying’ is used to describe a very broad and diverse group of activities

Below we list the kinds of surveys we can help with, these can be requested in isolation or as a group of inspections to help you understand your existing building or property estate.

Condition Surveying

This is usually focused on establishing the current condition and identifying any defects or disrepair on an elemental or room by room/ area by area basis. It is used to help with planning Compliance, Repair & Maintenance Activity (R&M) and the coordination of R&M with Capital Development Plans. It can be as detailed as a 3D Digital Scan & BIM model or as simple as a spreadsheet of key items that are approaching the end of their Useful Life. They are often costed to assist with budgeting and financial planning. We have extensive experience in ensuring both the level of inspection, detail and presentation of findings hits the right spot for the client

Space Utilisation Surveys

We can help establish if your estate, property or parts thereof are fit for purpose, fully utilised and being used efficiently. We have undertaken these surveys for large property portfolios where strategic planning around asset utilisation, acquisition and disposal is being evaluated at a high level.

Fire Compartmentation Surveys

Many buildings are simply incapable of being evacuated safely. We have spent many years assisting clients with cyclical inspections of so-called ‘escape routes’ assumed to be fire protected for 30 or 60 mins.

We can help carry out inspections to evaluate, identify and plan what corrective works need to take place to ensure your assumptions are correct and your property remains compliant.

Technical Assurance & Audit

We are experts in auditing a sample of work being undertaken by a contractor on a maintenance or repair contract. We can carry out random inspections or sample audits to help you understand the quality of the work you are paying for and work with you and your contractor to improve service and quality of building work.

This service is appealing to groundwork’s, drainage and highways contractors but you may be a concerned property owner that would like to record the condition of your property prior to commencement of work.
